Rio Rico High School will return to in-person classes beginning tomorrow, February 19, 2025 following the completed repair of the water leak.



Due to a water leak at Rio Rico High School, classes will be virtual on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Parents can find more information that has been sent to their email.

THEY'RE IN! Girls Basketball Qualifies for State Play-In Game
Congratulations to Coach Frank Arellano, his staff and the girls basketball program on qualifying for an AIA state play-in game. The Hawks will travel to #14 Saguaro High School in Scottsdale on Thursday for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
Please acknowledge our girls basketball players throughout the week. This year, there are only 26 teams in the 4A conference that get an opportunity to compete for a state championship. It's Time to Fly!
*This will be a postseason rematch against the Sabercats. Saguaro beat the Hawks 76-67 in the first round of the playoffs last season.


We are excited to announce that the SCV35 Aquatic Center will re-open on Saturday, February 22! 🌊 🏊♀️ It will be open to the public every Saturday from 9 AM-4PM. Boys Basketball All-Region Recognition


Rio Rico High School's CTE Department actively supports both Coatimundi Middle School and Calabasas K8 by providing engaging opportunities for students. Today, middle school girls had the chance to attend the Girls Power STEAM event in Tucson, where they participated in hands-on activities designed to inspire and educate them in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. February is officially recognized as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, a time to celebrate the value and impact of CTE programs. Rio Rico High School is proud to announce that we have 1,090 students enrolled in 10 programs. Our CTE programs are affiliated with Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), where students actively participate in competitions, leadership training, and community service, enhancing their learning experience.

Neth Armenta has committed himself to unwavering effort in weights class. Holding his own with the strength and conditioning workouts, he sets new personal bests in various exercises. When there is limited space in the racks, Neth finds a solution repping out bodyweight exercises on his own!
