Yesterday, our incoming kindergarteners and their families joined us for Session 1 of Kinder Smart Start!
While parents attended an informational session led by our admin team and community partners, our incoming Cougar Cubs had the chance to meet our amazing kindergarten teachers and take part in fun, engaging activities inside their future classrooms. From smiles to first friendships, it was a wonderful start to their journey with us!💙🐾

We started the morning with a special welcome during drop-off, featuring coffee, donuts, and juice as a small token of our gratitude for everything they do each day to safely transport our students. ☕🍩🧃
Our students also took time to create heartfelt cards and share treats to personally thank our bus drivers for their kindness, care, and dedication.
We are so grateful for our bus drivers who go above and beyond every day to keep our students safe and supported. Thank you for all that you do!

It’s time to celebrate our amazing teachers! Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are excited to show our gratitude with our Spirit Week as we honor the incredible educators who support, inspire, and care for us every day.
Check out the fun themed days coming up and get ready to participate, dress up, and help make this a special week for our teachers! 🐾✨

Today, on Administrative Professionals Day, we want to take a moment to recognize the heart behind our front office and beyond. Our very own Susie Fanning, Virginia Garayzar, and Annette Garcia keep everything running smoothly with kindness, patience, and dedication. Often working behind the scenes to support our students, staff, and families every single day.
From warm welcomes to helping hands, problem-solving to organizing it all, your impact does not go unnoticed. You are truly the glue that holds our school community together.
Thank you for everything you do to make our campus a place where everyone feels supported and cared for. We appreciate you today and every day! 💙

Today we celebrate our beautiful planet and the small actions that make a big difference! From recycling and conserving water to planting flowers and picking up litter, we encourage our Cougars to care for the Earth every day. 🌱♻️
Let’s work together to keep our planet clean, green, and thriving for today and for future generations! 🐾💙

No habrá salida temprana este miercoles.

Last Friday, our 8th grade class kicked off a brand new tradition with their very first tie-dye t-shirt event, and what an amazing start it was! The Class of 2030 brought creativity, style, and lots of Cougar pride as they designed their own unique shirts.
These one-of-a-kind creations aren’t just for fun. They are meant to be worn and cherished throughout their high school years as a reminder of where it all began. 💙🐾
We love seeing our students build traditions that celebrate their journey and keep them connected for years to come. Way to go, Class of 2030!

Last week’s Talent Show was an incredible celebration of the creativity, courage, and talent that make our Cougar community so special. From singing and dancing to live music, every performance brought something unique to the stage and we couldn’t be more proud of all of our students who participated.
It takes true bravery to step into the spotlight, and each of you showed confidence, heart, and dedication. Whether it was your first time performing or you’re a seasoned star, you inspired us all! 💙
A special congratulations to our 1st place winner, Valerie Benignos, for her outstanding singing performance, and to our 2nd place winners—our amazing rock band featuring Dante Nuñez, Maximiliano Gomez, and Nicholas Corpus—for bringing energy and excitement to the stage! 🎸🔥
We’re excited to share that our winners will go on to represent us at the district talent show this Friday. We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! Good luck, Cougars! 🐾

💙✨ Celebrating Our Amazing Volunteers! ✨💙
This week is National Volunteer Appreciation Week. At Calabasas, we want to take a moment to recognize our incredible parents, guardians, and community members who give their time, energy, and heart to support our school.
We want to give a very special shout-out to our parent volunteers, Angelica Lopez, Ana Santos, and Arlin Lerma. Your year-round dedication makes a lasting impact on our students and helps create a positive, thriving learning environment for all. Whether you’re helping in the classroom, supporting events, or lending a helping hand behind the scenes, you make a difference every single day.
From all of us at Calabasas, thank you for being such an important part of our Cougar family. 🐾💛

Please join us for a meeting on Tuesday, April 21, at 5pm in the Calabasas North MPR to get information about the 2026 8th Grade Promotion. After the short informational meeting, there will be a meeting for parents to help plan for Promotion Dance. Hope to see you there!

Our Talent Show is happening TONIGHT, April 15th! Come cheer on our talented students as they take the stage for a night full of fun and amazing performances.
Bring the whole family and enjoy the show! Snacks will be sold!
We can’t wait to see you there! 🐾
