Calabasas Preschool Gets Accredited by the NAEYC
Calabasas School is proud to have received the NAEYC Accreditation, thanks to the hard work and dedication of a wonderful director and her preschool team. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation is a standard given to a school that is recognized for providing exceptional care and a variety of educational, developmental and personal services for parents. These standards were created with input from experts and educators from around the country. The standards define whether NAEYC believes all early learning programs should provide.
Mrs. Menefee and her preschool team worked extremely hard to receive this renowned accreditation, which is awarded for five years, and during that period, programs submit annual reports documenting that they are consistently meeting the NAEYC program standards. “It takes a family of people to make this a successful program and Mrs. Menefee and her team have put in the time and effort for our students. This recognition just confirms what Calabasas is all about! We want our students to be set up for success” says Principal, Mrs. Bethany Patterson.
This accreditation gives Calabasas School a new standard of learning, and our children are the ones who benefit from it, since research shows a direct correlation between high-quality early learning and children's positive long-term outcomes in life, including increased educational attainment, healthier lifestyles, and more successful careers. For more than 20 years, families have relied on NAEYC Accreditation to ensure the quality of education and care provided in programs for young children and now we have an accredited school right here in Rio Rico, Arizona at Calabasas School.
Our early childhood education program is proud to be accredited by NAEYC because we know that we have worked hard for that achievement. By using NAEYC tools and materials, we are continuously improving our program to provide the best possible educational opportunities for children. Congratulations to our Preschool family!
