Protocols Update

In accordance with recent legislation for the state of Arizona and effective immediately, the Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District No.35 will discontinue the requirement that students, staff, and visitors wear face coverings during school hours and while on school property. Individuals may still choose to wear a face mask and those who have not been vaccinated are encouraged to continue wearing masks until fully vaccinated.

Technolochicas Conference

On Wednesday, May 12, 14 Calabasas students from fifth grade through eighth grade gathered in a classroom on campus to attend the Technolochicas conference virtually via zoom. Technolochicas is a club geared toward young Latina students to help prepare them for careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).

Calabasas Physical Education teacher Joseph Butler was recognized by Core Purpose Consulting (CPC) during a school board meeting earlier this month for his efforts to lead the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) members and the Calabasas community to make healthier choices. The council’s efforts garnered the bronze award from CPC.
