Calabasas Programs

Calabasas School programs are first rate. Our highly qualified teachers and our exceptional staff members work together to carry out the fine activities of our everyday learning. Please visit the pages below to find out more about what our school has to offer.

Art

Creativity is flowing at Calabasas with our wonderful art program. Please take a moment to visit our K-5 grade Art Room to see some of the wonderful pieces of artwork created by our students.

Before and After School Programs

We are excited to be a part of the 21st Century community learning program, which assists us in providing academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for our students. This program helps our students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects such as reading and math.

Through the 21st Century program, we are delighted to offer evening math classes for students and parents as well as morning and evening English learning classes for parents.

Continued participation in these classes is evidence that our Calabasas family members are interested in striving for knowledge and making a better life for themselves. We welcome all who would like to participate.

Athletics

At Calabasas, our students have the opportunity to participate in intramural sports, which is a terrific way to prepare for the high school sports program if they choose to do so—or if not, to have a great time learning a sport, developing good sportsmanship, and staying fit. We invite all who would like to participate.

Band

Do you play a band instrument? We are proud to offer band and jazz band groups for interested musicians. Music is a great way to develop your talents and your brain as well as a positive way to spend your valuable time. Join the fun, and participate in the Calabasas band.

Cambridge International Program

The Cambridge International Program is an advanced program for subjects including English, mathematics, and science. It emphasizes higher-order thinking strategies, hands-on learning, and project-based learning. The program's goals aim to develop learners who are:

  • Confident in working with information and ideas of their own and those of others.
  • Responsible for themselves, responsive to others, and respectful.
  • Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges.
  • Engaged intellectually, socially, and ready to make a difference.

For more information call Megan Padilla at (520) 375-8600.

Student Council

Student Council (STUCO) provides student leadership with representation from all grade levels. In addition to acting as a liaison between students and faculty, STUCO provides many different activities and services for students and their families. They also perform charitable acts and service for the community. STUCO members make a significant effort to give special recognition to others in order to build school spirit and pride within the student body.

Those interested in joining the Calabasas Student Council are welcome to run for an office within your grade level. Student elections take place at the end of each school year for the upcoming school year.

Technology

We live in a computer world. Today’s youth have a natural sense when it comes to doing their work on computers, and we at Calabasas have taken full advantage of the technical opportunities available to us. Our classrooms are equipped with computers, which are available for student research and learning activities as well as teacher instruction.

Additionally, our computer club is open to all students with special interests and talents and who want to learn more about computers in this technology-based world. We encourage you to visit our Technology Room to learn more about our classes.
